For the majority of customers we recommend using a custom list when creating a new form, however, if you have an existing list you can still enable Sintel Forms on it most scenarios. Below you find a list with the SharePoint list types that are supported with Sintel Forms.
|4||Calendar||Partially||Does not work in Calendar.aspx view|
|6||Promoted links||No (Not available in the ribbon)||This is limited by SharePoint|
|7||Tasks||Partially||Does not work in Calendar.aspx view|
|10||Custom List in Datasheet View||Yes|
|11||External List||Not Tested|
|12||Survey||No (no ribbon displayed)||This is limited by SharePoint|
|13||Import Spreadsheet||No (no ribbon displayed)||This is limited by SharePoint|
|No (Not available in the ribbon)||This is limited by SharePoint|
It's worth noting that while Sintel Forms can't be used with SharePoint Document Libraries directly you can use them as linked lists with your forms and this is particularly useful for storing files related to a form especially images or photos which you can then preview and annotate within Sintel Forms. Check out the Using Linked Lists article for more info.
